Trump’s Sham Indictment is Real Campaign Gold

April 14, 2023–The fake news media is mad at Donald Trump again! He can’t win for losing except he is winning, winning, winning even as the sham indictment was, after much anticipation, finally revealed by New York City D.A. Alvin Bragg.

Trump was arraigned in a New York court room on April 4th before Judge Juan Merchan, known Democrat partisan high-dollar donor. His motorcade took him from his Fifth Avenue residence in Trump Tower to criminal court in lower Manhattan after an untelevised ride through the Tombs, a downtown interconnected underground network of buildings more sympathetically called the Manhattan Detention Complex.

Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg brought the indictment which contained 34 counts, all loosely related, according to legal experts, to one bookkeeping error for a payment Trump authorized to his former attorney, Michael Cohen, to reimburse him for a non-disclosure agreement (derisively called hush money) with porn star Stormy Daniels.

The investigation started in 2015 stemming from an alleged affair Trump had with Daniels in 2006. Cohen presumptuously made the payment for her silence spelled out in an NDA from his own account. Called a zombie case because prosecutors could not pin these actions to an actual statute (still can’t) and because the statute of limitations had run out whether as a misdemeanor or a felony under New York State law. NYC D.A. Cyrus Vance, the FEC, the DOJ, and even Alvin Bragg himself all shelved the possibility of any indictment until last week.

Nearly every legal expert agrees this indictment is the epitome of a Soviet-style ‘you can indict a ham sandwich’ tactic. The sanitized term for it nowadays is lawfare.

It further signifies the culmination of using the courts to “Get Trump!” with two high-profile prosecutors in that state namely Bragg and New York State Attorney General, Letitia James, campaigning on that very promise. The Judiciary Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, led by Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, will be investigating Bragg’s record as D.A. for any prosecutorial misconduct, his soft on crime policies, and whether this indictment of a former president who is running for president again constitutes election interference. (NY Post – warning negative slant – article here.)

Notably, Democrats pulled the trigger on the indictment — knowing it would be ‘shiny bauble’ to their Hate Trump audience — on the heels of the revelation made by Kentucky Republican Rep. James Comer that he had obtained copies of Biden family bank records showing a number of payments totaling millions from the CCP to Biden family members including Joe Biden. Comer had been after these records for months. Partisan left-leaning media downplayed; a more even-handed report was issued by Fox Business here on March 27.

Bannon: They Just Made Him President

The media is just spitting mad because it finally ‘gets Trump’ (which happens to be the title of Alan Dershowitz’s latest book) by indicting him on charges that Dershowitz and so many other top legal experts say is a persecution, not prosecution.

Trump managed to turn dross into campaign ratings gold. In the last nine days, Trump’s campaign has raised over $15 million.

According to a Reuters poll released on the news of the indictment, April 3rd:

Some 48% of self-described Republicans say they want Trump to be their party’s presidential nominee, up from 44% in a March 14-20 poll.

Newsweek’s recent poll round-up struck me as the most balanced with The Morning Consult showing Trump leads DeSantis by 29 points and Rasmussen reporting Trump leading Joe Biden by 7 points. Both polls were conducted last week.

Trump boasted about his poll numbers a few days ago, posting this:

Rightside Broadcasting article from April 11, “Trump Boasts Biggest Lead Yet…” and links to the IPSOS/Reuter poll here.

The most unbalanced round-up conducted back on March 29th was done by Quinnipiac.

And, Trump posted this poll from Florida’s Voice News to his Truth Social page Tuesday, 4/11/

In the run-up to Trump’s arrival in New York there was speculation the court would allow cameras to film the arrest process from fingerprinting to mug shot to the court room.

After lobbying for cameras, the media flipped — cautioning that Trump would just use to sell his mug shot on t-shirts and well, mugs. Did it influence the judges decision to ban cameras? Seems likely.

There was serious talk the judge would issue a gag order that would bar Trump from talking about the case. Thankfully it did not happen. It would have constituted a violation to the former president’s first amendment rights.

The hive mind that is our state-run fake news media did not flinch at the painful irony that they led this witch hunt for seven years and now it was transpiring during Holy Week.

The media and its Dem-Marxist backers are salivating at the prospect of seeing Orange Man in an Orange jumpsuit. Lawfare (ahem!) requires humiliation of the target at minimum for it to succeed. Conservative media may have seen this event as ‘shiny bauble’ too but they roundly condemned the indictment on solid grounds as opposed to the left-wing mob licking its chops.

Steve Bannon said, “The first duty of society is justice.” “The officers of the court just slammed the door on justice with [this] indictment,” he said.

Trump spokesperson, Liz Harrington, issued a harsh indictment of her own saying, ‘We are leaderless right now. This is a monumental day with this sham indictment. This is ‘show you the man and I’ll show you the crime and now they won’t tell you what the crime is!’ In response to Joe Biden laughing at the news, Harrington offered scathing words: “Joe Biden is a craven, corrupt, and sick old man who is not worthy of our respect.”

Others like Grant Stinchfield echoed the sentiment that Trump exuded resolve and strength upon entering and exiting the court room.

“It’s true,” said George Papadopoulos, “They’re coming to get you; I’m just in the way,” referring to what Trump is always saying.

Charlie Kirk called it a funeral for America; and Vivek Ramaswamy, who has declared his candidacy for the Republican nomination, issued a sternly worded statement that we are now a ‘police state’ with this indictment of a former president.

“We must fight this regime peacefully and patriotically,” cautioned Jack Posobiec.

After the ordeal was over, Trump flew back to his Florida estate at Mar-a-Lago where he addressed a crowd of 500 close allies and supporters about the day’s events.

UFC Match Easter Saturday in Miami

Then our favorite president looking chill topped off his week with a ringside appearance at the UFC match on Easter Saturday between Jorge Masvidal and Kevin Holland at the Octagon Arena, Miami. He walked into the arena with Kid Rock and sat with Mike Tyson, and UFC President, Dana White. The cheers were deafening when Marsival, who lost and is retiring, led the Let’s Go Brandon cheer! Could Trump be any more popular? He truly is a man of the people. It is thrilling to watch.

Videos, the Tucker Interview, Hit Songs…

New campaign video produced by Donald J. Trump
President Trump tells Fox News show host, Tucker Carlson, “People were crying around me who had to do what they had to do that day.” “They couldn’t believe it…” This is one clip from the hour-long interview (4/10/23) that took place at Mar-a-Lago. His first sit-down since returning to Florida after his New York. Most the interview focused on foreign policy with Trump offering serious warnings about the threat of nuclear war. He deftly contrasted common fears about climate change harming the planet to the much great threat of nuclear catastrophe.
