Summer in the Garden State is Almost Over!

If Donald Trump were still in office as this writer believes he should be, the Trump National Golf Course Bedminster would be called the Summer White House, but he is merely ‘summering’ in Bedminster. The Mar-a-Lago Club, Trump’s primary residence, is closed during the summer. As a New Jerseyan, we are happy that our favorite president spends so much time in the Garden State.

For three-plus months every year his Bedminster golf club provides the perfect backdrop for Trump’s special events like the speech he gave to an enthusiastic crowd in June to rebut the Miami federal indictments; screening the movie “Sound of Freedom” outdoors to a select audience; or a book launch event for Kari Lake.

Monday, August 21st was the day Trump had said he would hold a press conference to ‘release the Report on the Rigged and Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election’ but as you can see from his Truth post he scrapped it. Trump hinted he might hire his own special counsel to investigate the investigators. Today, he issued this statement on Truth Social:

Trump announced yesterday that he will not participate in the Fox News Republican primary debate next Wednesday as he is due in Fulton County court the next day. We learned concurrently that he will sit down with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson on his Tucker on Twitter show instead. (Carlson’s first episode on Twitter after he left Fox News garnered 80 million viewers.) Trump’s bona fide ability to draw millions will accrue to the Carlson interview while Fox ratings will likely suffer severely. (Article here.) Stay tuned!

A Note about his June Bedminster Remarks

WARNING: This article is in reverse chronological order and is a long-scroll!

The June Bedminster speech segment is at the end of this article, but here is a photo of Trump the night of June 13 at the podium when he gave a response to the Miami document case indictments to a rousing crowd. The event was brightened by a celebration of his birthday and Flag Day — both occurring on the 14th. Trump just turned 76. (Photo credit: Mary Altaffer/AP)

BREAKING NEWS: On top of the counter-programming coup scheduled with the Tucker Carlson appearance, we are just learning he is also hosting a special event in Las Vegas on the 28th. The “Trump the man we know” event will be co-hosted by Don Jr, Lara and Eric Trump, Michael Flynn and other well-known and loved members of the conservative movement. (Special invites to attend have gone out but so far no links to an announcement as of this writing.)

On August 3rd the same day Trump was arraigned in a D.C. court on his third set of indictments, Trump crashed a wedding at Bedminster. This is not the first time he, as the host of Bedminster and his other clubs, Trump has delighted guests with an impromptu visit.

These indictments come from DOJ, Special Counsel Jack Smith’s ‘persecution’ office and relate to Trump’s alleged ‘plot’ to overturn election results.

It is undeniable to anyone who cares to look, that Trump never caves to pressure. We do not know of anyone in American history who has been under attacks from so many political factions set to destroy him as he has been. He keeps moving forward no matter what is thrown at him. Most people would have tossed in the towel long ago.

Chants of USA, USA, USA broke out of course! The happy couple has a very special wedding video for posterity.

JULY

Donald Trump was reportedly very moved after seeing “Sound of Freedom.” He thanked and congratulated the filmmaker, Eduardo Verastegui, and its star, Jim Caviezel. He called it a ‘blockbuster success.’ It has earned over $175 million as of early August against a budget of $14.5 million.

‘It’s something that I’m not sure if you’re supposed to enjoy or learn, it’s a combination, but that was a great movie,’ Trump said. “Now I understand why it’s doing so well.”

This is one of the few articles about this event that carried a video of Trump speaking to the crowd. Open for great photo gallery too. It appeared in The Guardian and it is actually a full report.

Enthusiasm for Donald Trump continues unabated over his eight years on the public stage. In fact, judging by his poll numbers for the 2024 primaries, he has bested his numbers from 2016 and 2020 by a fairly wide margin. He is some 40-50 points ahead of every challenger who are all languishing in single digits and that includes popular Florida Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis.

Kari Lake launches her book, “Unafraid” with Donald Trump as host at Bedminster in late June. The best duo in politics today has to be Donald Trump and Kari Lake (bet money she will be his pick for VP?). The Gateway Pundit covered. Click below.

“We will defeat the thugs, misfits, and Marxists trying to destroy democracy…”

Bedminster, NJ–June 13, 2023–Former President Donald J. Trump speaks to supporters from his Bedminster clubhouse steps about the Miami indictments on the so-called documents case.

Trump supporters lined the route from the Miami courthouse to the airport in Miami to see him take off for New Jersey after his appearance in Miami on charges related to the Mar-a-Lago documents case.

Once at Bedminster, Trump appeared on the steps of the clubhouse to a packed crowd cheering and chanting their support for the president as Trump’s signature Lee Greenwood song, Proud to be an American, cued his entrance.

Trump’s tone was sober as he described the events of the day and shared the facts surrounding the so-called ‘documents case’. He never minces words. This is Orwellian and Trump’s characteristic bluntness is crime enough.

Trump opened his remarks with, .”This is an evil and heinous abuse of power, the worst in our history”

Midway, he paused his litany of grievances to joke about ‘what a wonderful birthday present this’ – the crowd sang happy birthday.

Later he contrasted how previous presidents had handled or mishandled documents citing Bill Clinton and his ‘Socks’ case; Hillary Clinton destroying 33,000 emails; as well as how George W. Bush departed with thousands of documents.

Every Trump event has signature elements: Despite the utter seriousness of Trump’s remarks whether to thousands of rally-goers or in a 3-minute video, he never shies from sharing the truth. He packs more facts in every sentence — leavened with considerable humor — than any public figure we know. For this skill alone, Trump should be lauded.
