Donald & Melania Sitting in a Tree…A Presidential Love Story for the Ages!

Share this:

February 14, 2024–It’s Valentine’s Day and we want to celebrate the love story of our former first couple. Today is also Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent – a cruel coincidence of the calendar because how does one ‘give up something for Lent’ on Valentine’s Day? President’s Day is Monday, February 19th.

Why not take this opportunity to highlight the love story of the Trump’s — whether in or out of the White House?

The media has thrown almost as much shade on Melania Trump as it has on her husband. The relentless scapegoating and demonization that has occurred unabated for eight years has made them pariahs to the Trump-hating half of the country and near-martyrs to the Trump-loving half.

The Trump’s are hardly star-crossed lovesick teenagers akin to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but as presidential couples go the Trump’s are as devoted to each other as we’ve seen in modern times and that might include first couples Richard and Pat Nixon; Gerald and Betty Ford; Lyndon and Lady Bird Johnson; and, Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter, to name a few.

Compared to other presidents and their first ladies, the Bush’s – both the elder and the younger – for whatever reason did not seem to attract encomiums to their love so not including in the above list. Nothing personal.

And, yes Johnson was a philanderer, but Lady Bird and Lyndon had a true working partnership. Their backstory is of interest and might qualify as a love match for many. We know the sordid story of the Clinton’s and it’s not the stuff of a happily-ever-after romcom. The Obama’s story is maybe currently too controversial to touch. Nuf sed.

Early presidents, notably John and Abigail Adams were famous lovebirds. They corresponded with each other over many years. In their own words, their letters are contained in the book, “My Dearest Friend: Letters of John and Abigail Adams.” They wrote to each other constantly especially during periods of separation, according to historians.

James and Dolley Madison were another pair with an interesting beginning. Dolley lost her husband and family in a yellow fever epidemic. She was young, alone but nevertheless had many suitors. James Madison fell in love with her ‘at first sight.’

Edith Roosevelt was Theodor Roosevelt’s second wife; his first died leaving him a widower. The two had grown up together in New York and were childhood playmates. Later, Roosevelt turned to Edith for comfort and they eventually wed. Roosevelt’s biographer said, “Theodor Roosevelt adored Edith Roosevelt and she was devoted to him.”

Wags in left-wing media had a field day however when early in Trump’s presidency they noticed Melania’s signature resembled his. They characterized him as a svengali with Melania his victim. Bolstered by so-called handwriting experts, hundreds of articles were ‘manufactured’ that described Melania either as some version of being under her husband’s sway or ‘grasping’ as one ‘expert’ put it.

Sheila Kurtz, one of those vaunted experts wrote after studying their signatures: “This is stylized. Maybe they brought in someone to show her how to do it or it’s a stamp, but it’s definitely stylized.”

Her handwriting was called a ‘scrawl’ and his was called ‘crazy.’

Fashion mags – that won’t feature Melania as a model or as First Lady – Elle and Marie Claire – ran almost identical articles based on Kurtz’s evaluation stating, “…Melania won’t have stolen her own husband’s signature style, maybe he stole hers, who knows.” (Link to Daily Mail article under Resources below.)

Below are images from The Elegant Trump, Chapter 6: His and Her Signatures. Chapter 6 exposes the dishonesty of these silly assertions and offers a robust rebuttal.

What do you see? I see two people who are sympatico. Melania and Donald Trump are soulmates.

Turbulent Times: Is Melania the ‘force tranquille’ for Donald Trump?

The preposterous lawfare against Donald Trump (each case is collapsing one by one) and the equally preposterous fact that Melania Knauss Trump, a former super model and arguably one of the ten most beautiful women in the world, has yet to appear on the cover of fashion magazines like Vogue as First Lady — breaking a long-standing precedent — suggests at least half of America is not toasting to their good health or their marriage!

Michelle Obama has appeared on the cover of Vogue and in its pages a record three times; Jill Biden appeared on the cover in the June 2021 issue. Hillary graced the cover too. Melania was on a Vogue cover as a model in 2005, but snubbed during her four years as First Lady. Google it and a quick scan of the headlines reveals that the MSM needs to drive home their narrative — even in this sphere — that the Trump’s are beneath contempt while all other first ladies – regardless of party – can be written about in glowing terms and photographed in the best possible light.

Melania finally appeared on the cover of a French magazine recently — eight years after becoming First Lady. Whoopee! The article suggests that Melania truly is that steadfast companion who brings ‘tranquility’ to their relationship. Link here.

The video in this X post is a montage showing the Trump’s as a loving couple. It was posted on the heels of her cover story in Paris Match.

On just the public ceremonial level alone, MAGA patriots see the chasm that exists between how our former first couple was treated by the media who should be impartial and how other presidents and their wives have been treated.

The Trump-loving half of America has stood by both Trumps through thick and thin. It has not been a shallow loyalty either. When reporters conduct man-on-the-street interviews with Trump supporters at rallies, every single person will say they love Donald Trump’s policies. They can intelligently talk about each off-the-cuff too unlike RINOs who denigrate and apologize for Orange Man Bad.

MAGA loves our favorite president #45!

The outpouring of love for Donald Trump on the campaign trail – especially in 2024 – has therefore been a political phenomenon unmatched in our history. While Melania has chosen to stay behind-the-scenes, surveys show she is loved as much as her husband and admired for her her grace and steadfastness.

Our media has scapegoated this beautiful couple for eight years. This has resulted in them being demonized, shunned, isolated, marginalized individually and as a couple.

We hope when #45 retakes the White House, we can see these wrongs righted.

The Big Bash at Mara-a-Lago on Super Bowl Sunday

Trump is unstoppable. After his big rally in the Palmetto State the day before, he threw a big bash at his Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach to watch the Super Bowl. It’s an annual tradition for him.

Everyone who is anyone in Trumpverse was there to ‘kiss the ring of Donald Trump’ as he clearly will be the GOP party nominee for president. Photos below were swiped from Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Facebook page. Trump entered the party with Melania by his side and Vivek Ramaswamy and his wife, Apoorva, following closely behind. Mike Lindell, RAVs Gina Loudon, the Trumpettes, and Tom Homan plus the entire Trump family with spouses and kids were among the hundreds of guests who attended.

The Outpouring of Love in South Carolina

As always, the great Dan Scavino, provided videos of the Conway, SC event. He dares to cover these events while the MSM is still missing in action.

We heard hundreds camped out on the grounds starting at 2 am. Doors opened at 9 am for a 2 pm start time for Trump to take the stage.

Trump made sure he spoke to the crowd assembled outside the venue held at Coastal Carolina University auditorium. He never misses an opportunity to be among We the People.

On Valentine’s Day, Trump will be in Charleston, SC for yet another campaign rally in the Palmetto State. Be sure to tune in! Click here for more:

More accurate perhaps than modern-day meanings of Valentine’s Day, the real story of St. Valentine’s Day is, according to historian Bill Federer, Christ-related and stretches back hundreds of years to the Roman Empire. He told Gina Loudon all about it this week.
