Trump News Roundup: Blacks 4 Trump
May 18, 2024–Donald Trump drew an estimated 100,000 supporters to a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey (need we remind how deep blue Jersey is?) last Saturday in what some say is the states largest political rally ever.
It’s likely the largest rally Trump has ever held too although he just announced he’s holding a rally in The Bronx on May 23rd. Who knows how many closeted MAGA supporters from the New York area will flock to hear Trump speak.

Dems and Lapdog Media are Apoplectic Over Trump’s Rise in Polls Among Blacks
The media was stunned by such an overwhelming show of support for Donald Trump in New Jersey, but not as taken aback as they seem to be by Trump’s growing popularity among black voters which recent polls put at twenty-five percent of the black vote – about double what he garnered in 2020. Some Instagram posts illustrate:
If you go to these posts, scroll through the comments. Libs are losing their minds on these threads and spewing the same anti-Trump, anti-conservative, anti-America bile doesn’t seem to be working.
Fox News surveyed black voters and found that Biden’s support among black voters has dropped to 72%. Some say the cross-tabs on these polls (unfortunately this information is behind paywalls or I would of course link here) could translate into a 24% share of the black vote for Trump. However, some internal poll shows that up to 20% of black voters might stay home, saying they don’t like Biden or Trump. That leaves the balance up of about 24-27% up for grabs. It doesn’t appear RFK, Jr. might fill the void either.
Historically, Democrats get (by hook or by crook, well – mostly crook) over ninety percent of the black vote, but Trump earned twelve percent of the black vote in 2020. In prior election cycles, Republicans like George Bush and Mitt Romney would top out at about eight percent. If any Republican presidential candidate broke that benchmark, said candidate would win – so the political prognosticators told us – in a landslide. This election stat is just one of a slew of anomalies that anyone with common sense knows #TrumpWon.
If Trump’s gargantuan turnout at the Jersey Shore — framed by Wildwood’s famous roller coaster, Ferris Wheel and giant construction cranes — did not make banner heads (at least in alt-news-land), the competing headline has to be what former NFL hall of famer, Lawrence Taylor, emphatically told this spirited crowd:
“I grew up a Democrat and I’ve always been a Democrat until I met this man right here [Donald Trump] and I tell you what he won’t have to worry about nobody in my family ever voting Democrat again…”

Is It Really News that Black Rappers and Hip Hop Artists are Flocking to Trump? Or, is the MSM Just Late to the Party?
Newsweek picked up on the trend last November adding such big names like Sexxy Red, Kodak Black, and Lil Wayne to growing list of blacks in music and entertainment who are coming out of the closet for Trump.
Newsweek includes Kanye/Ye in their pantheon. We spotted this trend in 2016. Early. I included West in a section on Trump boosters in the last chapter The Trump Movement who I credited for his Trump endorsement in the 2016 cycle. Although West (or whatever moniker he goes by now) has completely gone off the rails recently. He was tolerable although still cringey four years ago. Trump, for his part, showed great kindness and patience with him when the two met at the White House in 2018.
Candace Owens, Charlie Kirk, a group of Evangelical pastors, Diamond and Silk all stood out and were cited for their unequaled boosterism as well.
If I were showcasing Trump’s black boosters now, would have to nominate Real America’s Voice host, Royce White. He’s also running for Congress in Wisconsin, a must-win state. WI is the only battleground state out of six that has Trump tied with Biden. In some polls he is up by a point and others down by a point. Mike Lindell is working hard to build momentum for Trump in that state. This week the ‘Palestinian’ flag was hoisted over the state capitol. It replaced the original Wisconsin flag. Biden cannot lose WI. He has withdrawn aid to Israel to court Muslim voters in that state. Trump is increasing his lead past the margin of error against Biden in five other battleground states.

Newsweek rounds out its list with: DaBaby, Chief Keef, Benny the Butcher and Waka Flocka Flame. Lil Wayne and Kodak Black were pardoned by Trump for separate firearms offenses. Article here.
Young Female Black Activist in Atlanta Engages Trump and the Result is Magical
Black entertainers and rappers for Trump draw media fire, but boy don’t let an ‘average black person’ like Michaelah Montgomery, a conservative Atlanta-based Trump activist who is well-known on historically black college campuses like Morehouse and Spelman, go all in for Trump.
The AP subtly downplays the synchronicity – nay, the electricity! – between the Trump campaign and Montgomery and her group of HBC Trump supporters. Event photos and videos went viral with Trump posing for photos as below, and buying everyone milk shakes and chicken sandwiches.
To tamp down the enthusiasm, Jasmine Harris, a Biden spokesperson, cynically offered this: “Thinking Black voters relate to Donald Trump because he spent twenty minutes handing out freebies at a fast food restaurant is yet another insult to our intelligence – and perfect example of just how disingenuous Trump’s outreach to Black voters continues to be.” AP News article here.

Rappers and hip hop artists have used Trump’s name in song after song since the early 2000s. Trump’s name is a stand-in for wealth. Trump is the wealthy-person name of choice for rappers. Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Michael Bloomberg are rarely called out. like Bill Gates.

The great Dan Scavino announced yesterday that Trump will hold a rally in the The Bronx after all. It’s been rumored that Trump would hold a massive rally at Madison Square Garden or even Yankee Stadium but for now he’s heading back to uptown Manhattan where he made a campaign stop – with thousands turning out for him in an Hispanic neighborhood – to a bodega in Harlem.
