The Unconventional RNC Convention
Donald Trump looks and sounds like a changed man after surviving the foiled assassination attempt on his life just six days ago, but what is it that is so different? It’s almost indescribable.
July 19, 2024–Last night topped off an RNC Convention that had already demonstrated to the world that the Republican Party of these United States under the visionary guidance of Donald J. Trump, our 45th President who formally accepted the nomination of his party to hopefully become the 47th president, was no longer your grandfather’s GOP.
The Republican party nominating conventions of George Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and even Donald Trump’s two prior nominating conventions of 2016 and 2020 are but a distant memory in terms of substance and style compared to the spectacular show Trump and his team at the RNC put on this week.
Those conventions were apple-pan-dowdy affairs compared to the stylish ‘this is now fully Trump’s party’ show he and his team pulled off. It was a delight to behold. This morning accolades from the likes of Gayle King, CBS morning show host known for being Oprah Winfrey’s side kick, who was reportedly astonished by its entertainment value started to pour in. Trump, for all his razzle-dazzle showmanship having given us one dramatic entrance into the Fiserve Milwaukee Arena every night this week, topped off last night as the main attraction (the warm up acts were none other than Hulk Hogan, Kid Rock, and head of the United Fighting Championship, Dana White), did not overlook substance.

In cultural terms, Trump knocked it out of the park! Trump threw the greatest party the country has seen in a long time six days after he survived an assassination attempt where a sniper’s bullet grazed his right ear.

It’s the price of admission isn’t it? And, Donald Trump delivered like he was, well – Dana White – head of the UFC. He filled the seats and kept a large crowd comprised of convention delegates, politicians, everyday Americans, other dignitaries and the media – entertained if not on the edge of their seats waiting to ‘hear’ from their fearless leader, Donald Trump.
Trump’s signature hospitality, flair for drama, and exceptional stagecraft was made abundantly clear all week. In between speakers – who were to a person passionate and vibrant and on point – a live band knocked out classic rock tunes from a mezzanine platform. The band alone was worth the price of admission. At other times, music was piped in to announce an entrance into the arena as with JD Vance (Trump’s pick for VP announced Monday), Donald Trump, and finally last night for Melania Trump’s appearance.
Wednesday night, Donald Trump entered to the song, “This is a man’s world…” – which contained a surprise. Toward the close – strains of an Italian aria broke out. It could only be called sexy. Relive it here:
In political terms, Trump might unify a divided nation.
But first we will witness the full meltdown of the mainstream state-run media who now know Donald Trump’s ascendency to becoming the 47th President of the United States is all but sealed.
Time Magazine almost ran with the Evan Vucci AP photo that went viral in the moments after the shooting. Within hours it was reproduced on tee shirts, coffee mugs, posters and probably even beach towels, but the hopeless hacks who run corporate media yanked it.
‘They’ said it was just ‘free PR’ for Donald Trump — and, well, if you believe their other subversive narrative — the whole assassination attempt was staged by Trump anyway. (We know this diktat likely came from Trump hater, Reid Hoffman, the billionaire founder of LinkedIn who warned media outlets not to allow Trump to look like a hero. We covered it here.)
And Van Jones, a radical left-wing CNN pundit who is at times at least candid, contrasted the difference between Trump – a man who just took a bullet for his country – to Joe Biden — who can’t climb the stairs of Air Force One. See meme above. Just one indicator of the ripple effect of Trump’s ascendancy.
Trump has been leading in all the important polls and in all of the important places namely battleground states for months. Post-assassination polls are just hitting but early data shows Trump pulling away. The RNC convention was wildly successful and added to Trump’s status as the inevitable winner of this race.
This meets up with the breaking news that President Joe Biden will bow out of the race – most predict by Sunday, July 21. Reports say he will remain President, not endorse his VP and the nominee, and Democrats will run a ‘speed dating’ primary to nominate a candidate. All of which is a subject for another article.
What will it take to unite this country behind a true leader? Maybe, like Reagan, Donald Trump will have to win 49 states in November!
In religious terms, Trump’s near-death experience is now the “Miracle by a Millimeter”
Pastor Lorenzo Sewell who spoke earlier in the evening, gave a rousing speech telling us God saved Trump, calling it the ‘Miracle by a Millimeter.’ “The bullet missed his ear by a ‘millimeter.”
Millimeter or millisecond? Life and death events are defined by a lot of ‘ifs’ – If his head had not tilted right in that moment the bullet shot through the air; it would have been fatal; if his head were tilted at any other angle, it would have been fatal.
Hand of God or not, one thing is true: The people see this event in terms of Divine Providence.
Today, the descriptors people are using for Donald Trump – both before his near-death experience and after – are little changed. He is to his best friends, closest allies in politics and business, to his family that conquering hero. Charlie Kirk described his entrance into the Fiserv Arena the other night as that of a ‘stoic Roman general.’
It seems to be the consensus that Trump ‘has the heart of a lion and the soul of a warrior.’
Men and women alike get it and those who still don’t are woefully out of step. Trump is as Kid Rock’s new song expresses, ‘an American badass.’
One anonymous liberal woman posted her drastic change of heart toward Trump when she saw him take a bullet. Here’s her post:
A black comedian wove the startling event into his comedy routine the night of the shooting. After being shot, “He’s officially black now…that’s hard bro. That nigga’ got shot. He won. Joe Biden’s ops is the stairs. Trump’s got real ops!” It’s below:
Most people have said that Trump is ‘different’ after this event. He is more quiet, subdued, somber. Some say he might have PTSD. He also looks like a bemused wise elder of some ancient tribe who has graduated to emeritus status.

Maybe now Donald Trump can observe the dark political machinations that have been chronicled repeatedly (the coups against his presidency, the lawfare, the stolen election and more) that have threatened everything he holds dear – his family, his business, his legacy as President, his associates, and now his life with his trademark resolve with a chaser of wisdom.
After describing the event he endured in detail last night ‘because people want to know what happened’ – Donald Trump joked about the ‘chart that saved my life’ and felt compelled to finish talking about the content of that slide last night as he was denied his speech last Saturday. He told us, “I will describe what happened to me once, here, but not again.” Here is the chart:
It is as if he has ascended to the mountain top, a place where one goes when the prosaic work is done. Some might call it nirvana, others call it heaven on Earth. Trump is now occupying an ‘elevated place’ at any rate by all accounts in our culture.
There is no mistaking how this epic event has shaped him and our nation.
